Hi everyone! Our picture today is of the blooming garden at Little Stars – all your plants have grown really well this year, with mint, lavender and clematis creating beautiful smells in the poly tunnel.
Today’s art project is to make your own Scarecrow! Do you have very old clothes and rags?
Stuff the clothes with straw, rags, grass, foam, literally whatever you have. A turf sack or pillow cases are handy for stuffing, especially for shaping a head. Do you want to draw a costume design? Do you want to draw on a face? Make a mask or stick on materials?
Do you have accessories? A bag, hat, handkerchief, little animals that live in pockets?
A long strip of wood or large stick for your Scarecrow to be supported by along the back and across the arms are helpful for structure if somebody can help you. Yours might even be a sit down Scarecrow.
You can use it to protect our growing sunflowers and potatoes!
Let your creations be as unique as you are!
We’d love to see your art projects – email in to movillepreschool@live.com
We finish today with a story read by Leanne: Ruby Flew Too. Enjoy!
