Hi and welcome to Little Stars virtual preschool! Each day there are new and interesting things to do, hear and play. As all Little Stars families know, you can take your ideas and projects as far as you like, in any direction you like – these are ideas to get you started, and your contributions for the group will be warmly welcomed. Follow your child’s lead during activities.

Tuesday 24th March: We have some wonderful surprises for you today, including a long held Little Stars secret, and a very special music session created just for us. Let’s get started!

Time to get messy! That’s right Little Stars, Tuesdays are a messy day. Let’s see what kind of play dough we can make…

Mix 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of salt and 1 cup of water

You might like to add colour, texture and smell: for bright coloured play dough add in ready mixed paints (child friendly washable paint). For textured playdough add lentils or soup mix, pasta or rice. For super soft and lovely smelling playdough add hair conditioner (this is a long held Little Stars secret folks!) For smells add essential oils, or dried or fresh herbs, or a squeeze of orange or lemon.

Babies in the house? Keep your play dough edible in case they want to put it in their mouths.

Want to take it further? Make the basic salt dough recipe above using plain flour only. Create models or jewellry and bake in the oven until hard. You can then paint or glaze your creations to keep.
