Welcome to discovery week!

Your mission today  is to create your own planet! Consider what shape you want it to be, what surface & atmosphere, are there plant and animal life forms?

To make it 3D; A flour and water glue mix makes for great paste for papier mache if you dip strips of paper in it. Paper plates or cardboard from old cereal boxes and egg cartons could also be a good base.

A bubble blowing art technique will add texture to your planet. Mix paint and washing up liquid in a tray. Add water until it’s runny enough to blow bubbles. Use a drinking straw to BLOW into the paint to make bubbles. Catch the bubbles by placing paper on top for your pattern.

This is an activity to aid speech as we exercise our mouth.

DO NOT DRINK!!!!!!!!!!!

Planet Monster – draw around a jigsaw or draw your own shape to make the outline of your monster. Does it have a face? How many eyes does it have?

Today we have some brilliant videos by Karen from Banyan Theatre Company, who did the wonderful Elves & The Shoemaker puppet show for Little Stars. She is going to show us how to make some really cool puppets, we hope these inspires your Space animals or alien creations, or a planet of anything you like:
