Meet the Little Stars team

The Little Stars Team are committed to continuous professional development, including FAR first aid, child protection training, food hygiene and keeping up to date with developments in early years education.

All staff have completed AIM inclusion training.

Katie Fitzpatrick is the owner of Little Stars and has 18 years experience working in the early years. Her qualifications include: BA Hons in Creative and Performing Arts (University of Liverpool), Diploma in Early Childhood Studies and Practice (NUI Galway), Introduction to Counselling Skills (LYIT). Katie works with the senior group.

Leanne McColgan is the senior group leader at Little Stars and has 11 years experience working in the early years. Her qualifications include: Higher National Diploma in Advanced Practice in Work with Children and Families, Autism Awareness training, Mental Wellbeing in Children, and Meitheal training (TUSLA).

Leanne Fullerton is the preschool assistant at Little Stars and has 3 years experience working in the early years. Her qualifications include: Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education,working with children with autism (sensory processing), and learning in the natural environment.

Sarah McHenry is the junior group leader at Little Stars and has 14 years experience working in the early years. Her qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Early childhood Health, Care and Education and a Higher National Diploma in Early Childhood Studies. Sarah also facilitates Messy Monsters workshops, providing creative and sensory play opportunities through messy play.

Mary McNaught is the preschool assistant at Little Stars and has 5 years experience working in the early years. Her qualifications include: Extended Diploma for Children’s Care, Learning and Development and a Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Aideen Fitzpatrick is the office administrator at Little Stars preschool and has over 20 years experience working in early years. Her qualifications include a BA, MA (University of Sheffield), Primary PGCE (University of Ulster) and Leadership for Inclusion in Early Years (University of Limerick).

Karen Keenan is the After School Facilitator at Little Stars. She is an Artist who comes from a design background. Her qualifications include a BA Hons Degree (Textiles & Fashion) and she has worked as a designer, field officer and Art Tutor for children from all ages from preschool to SAC.

Love Apple Market Stall

The Love Apple Market Stall provides the preschool with our fresh fruit each week for the fruit programme. They are a family run local business that we are proud to partner with, situated on the square in Moville.

Mosaic

Meantoir provides us with the Mosaic app, which we use to communicate with families and share their child’s learning experiences. Meantoir also provide us with up to date CPD, and expert advice on all aspects of running an early years service. Maentoir are proud to be based in Greencastle, just up the road from Little Stars.

Pure Savage

Pure Savage are based in Carndonagh and are a family run company. They customise our preschool hoodies and book bags, helping us source our WRAP certified hoodies, which ensure the clothing our logo goes on is ethical.

Organic Farm Shop

The Farm Shop provides the preschool with our fresh, organic fruit each week for the fruit programme. They are a family run local business that we are proud to partner with, situated on the Malin Road in Moville.
