Hello Little Stars, and welcome to Weather Week!
Today is Arty Monday, so let’s get going…
Landscape Painting: Look outside – be outside if you can. To get set up…bring your easel outside if you have one or stick up a large piece of paper or cardboard onto a wall, tie to a fence or lay it out on the ground (use stones to hold it down). Take in your surroundings. What do you want to interpret in your painting? What is the weather like? This can help create your mood. Use your surroundings for inspiration and colours. Feel free to mix your own shades as you develop your own style. What is your favourite weather?
Keep it fluffy with shaving foam and/or PVA glue with paint to create 3D effect paint, great for fat rain drops or use cotton wool for clouds -make it stand out.
Show your family how we do it. For extra fun paint with the paint brush in your toes!
Learning goals:
We are being creative, observant, making connections & understanding process.
Email photos of your artworks to movillepreshcool@live.com, and we can make an online gallery.
Today’s story is read by Niamh, we hope you enjoy it.
