Hi and welcome to Little Stars virtual preschool! Each day there are new and interesting things to do, hear and play. As all Little Stars families know, you can take your ideas and projects as far as you like, in any direction you like – these are ideas to get you started, and your contributions for the group will be warmly welcomed.

Monday 30th March:

Time to get in to the recycle bin (don’t actually get in it!) and see what you can find for……Project Cafe! That’s right Little Stars, Mondays are an arty day. Let’s see what kind of cafes we can make – you might like to use tin foil, boxes, egg cartons, toilet roll tubes, paint, old bits of plastic, food from the kitchen (ask first).

Choose and set up a area to open your cafe. Use what you have at your home, either inside or outside. 

What do you want your cafe to be called? Can you make a sign? You could make menus, either by drawing or writing, and make up prices. Paint boxes or use shelves to stack real food and kitchen equipment. If you have some change, use real money and price the food. 

Babies in the house? Set up an area for younger customers with some toys or spoons and safe things to explore, or things that make a noise. 

Want to take it further? Can you incorporate your healthy snack into your cafe? You could cut up fruit and vegetables, and invite any members of your family to be customers.

Remember to make yourselves a Little Stars snack – that’s fruit or vegetables, and water to drink. Email in pictures of your snacks too  (no people in the pictures folks)…good food = good mood.
