Hi and welcome to Little Stars virtual preschool! Each day there are new and interesting things to do, hear and play. As all Little Stars families know, you can take your ideas and projects as far as you like, in any direction you like – these are ideas to get you started, and your contributions for the group will be warmly welcomed. Follow your child’s lead during activities.
Thursday 26h March: Great news everyone! We have put together a fantastic resource pack for each of you. Come and collect it from the polytunnel on Friday from 1pm onwards (or email in if you can’t make it!) You will also be able to collect your suit and wellies. Please only enter the garden one at a time folks – the gate will be unlocked for you to go on in. There are lots of lovely surprises included, and we will be able to use the resources to work on projects together. The polytunnel is located behind the hall on the green.
Time to get treasure hunting! Today we’re going on a garden treasure hunt, to see what we can see. Our story today is read by Donna, we hope you enjoy it….. That’s right Little Stars, Thursdays are an adventure day. Let’s see what kind of things we can spot…
Using the Little Stars pictures below, can you find these things outside your house?
Can you say the words in Irish?

Éan (Bird)

Crann (Tree)

Uan (Lamb) Ciara (Sheep)

Uisce(Water)

Bláth (Flower)
Gréasán (Web)
You might like to collect some things that you can find – flowers, leaves, twigs, stones, and bring them home with you.
Babies in the house? Bring them with you on your walk, help them to smell the flowers and show them all the lovely things around us in spring.
Want to take it further? Make a treasure box for your collection, make a bark rubbing, practice using the Irish you have learned at preschool – your numbers and colours.
Tomorrow we will put up all the brilliant pictures you have sent in for all of us to share together – thank you so much to everyone for their fantastic contributions.
Remember to make yourselves a Little Stars snack – that’s fruit or vegetables, and water to drink. Email in pictures of your snacks too (no people in the pictures folks)…good food = good mood.
We finish today with a story from your teacher Donna: we hope you enjoy it!
Learning focus: Today we are: exploring and thinking, developing our cultural awareness, respecting our environment.
