Good morning everybody! We hope you are having great fun being superheroes!
Today it’s time for Shadow Play
What makes a shadow? Can you find your shadow? Can you make your shadow look taller or wider? Can you make wings, animals and shapes with your hands? Can you do a show or tell a story? You could involve songs or music, or enjoy creating characters. Does your story have a beginning, middle and end? You could extend your play to create your own story book, using drawings, cuttings, writing, or photographs.
Shadow art suggestion:
Roll out large paper and position some things of interest or that you’ve found on treasure hunts to make a shadow on the paper. Draw around the outline, colour and make into a scene if you want to. Cutting out pictures from comics or magazines can be fun to stick together in a new sequence to make scenes too.
You might even want to use your shadow art to make a superhero story, comic book style….
We finish today with another fantastic Makaton video from friend of Little Stars, Aideen. See if you can sign along to ‘What a Wonderful World’.
The news will be up tomorrow, and we’ll see you all back here for virtual preschool on Monday morning.
