Messy play, the Rainbow way…
Rainbow Rice: Pour rice into a tub with a lid, add drops of your chosen food colouring and a little water to coat the rice if needed. Put on the lid and shake, shake, shake up a storm until all the grains of rice are coated. Do this with as many separate colours as you have.
Rainbow Spaghetti: Cool cooked plain spaghetti or pasta and gather in piles. Mix with a little paint, a pile and colour at a time. A few drops of food colouring works well on spaghetti too. Let the colours set and let the fun begin! Shape, swirl, twirl, grab & squeeze!
Rainbow Jewellery: Paint dry pasta and thread it through wool or pipe-cleaners to make bracelets, necklace/medals for presents or to wear.
Make a sorting and matching game by grouping colours, creating patterns, shapes & pictures.
Today’s story is ‘A Squash and a Squeeze’, we hope you enjoy it…
