The Sky’s the limit this week….
Ideas to build today: Blast off in your own rocket to Space or fly in a Aeroplane or helicopter.
Can you make a propeller like a windmill and channel the wind? Straws, cardboard, tape, recycled materials, cloth, foil are all adaptable materials. Do you need a powerful engine or can you glide?
Or you could design and build a nest or bird house. What materials are comfortable? E.g: Feathers and straw. Does it have a roof, an entrance? Can a bird fit in? You might prefer to make an insect or bee home? Where is a good place to put it & why?
We are understanding working theories about how the world works. We are problem solving.
This week’s learning points:
Children are experiencing freedom to explore and process information and feelings at their own pace.
When we are being creative, our confidence is growing.
We are developing fine motor skills.
We are: enhancing memory. Increasing new vocabulary. Understanding cause and effect. Growing independence. Practising numeracy skills.
We are developing positive learning dispositions through holistic learning.
Participating in projects promotes courage, curiosity, playfulness and perseverance.
