Hi and welcome to Little Stars virtual preschool! Each day there are new and interesting things to do, hear and play. As all Little Stars families know, you can take your ideas and projects as far as you like, in any direction you like – these are ideas to get you started, and your contributions for the group will be warmly welcomed. Follow your child’s lead during activities.
Wednesday 25h March: Today’s virtual preschool is inspired by one of our Little Stars families who sent us a picture of the fantastic den they made together in the garden. We will also be finishing on a very important task… Let’s get started!
Time to get building! That’s right Little Stars, Wednesdays are a building day. Let’s see what kind of dens we can make…
Using the materials around you, can you make a den, fort, tent or house?
Who will play in it with you? Your family, pets or teddies? Maybe your robot?
You might like to build in the garden, or in a room in the house. You might be able to find sticks, blankets, cushions, leaves, or even pitch a tent to play in.
Babies in the house? Cosy up with your baby in the den to read or play together.
Want to take it further? Decorate your den with pictures and paintings, eat your snack in your den, read and play and take your favourite toys in with you.

Remember to make yourselves a Little Stars snack – that’s fruit or vegetables, and water to drink. Email in pictures of your snacks too (no people in the pictures folks)…good food = good mood.
We finish today with a very special task: these beautiful lambs have been born on Leanne’s farm, and they need names! Email in your name suggestions, and we will announce the lamb’s names in the news on Friday.
Learning focus: Today we are: constructing, being imaginative, co-operating, following instructions, exploring size, space and measurements and having fun!
