Discovery Week…
Today we are going to use our imagination: can you design and build your own adventure park that will be on your planet?
You could use; bricks, turf, wood, junk art, paper or Lego… What fun activities are there to do?
Is there a water area for boats and swimming? Are there ramps? Races? Rides?
Expressing our emotions…
Would you benefit from an emotion’s area? Some children use this at Little Stars to express themselves.
Find a branch or tube to decorate as your emotion tree. You could use paint, stones and shells to create your emotions area. What different moods do we feel? What colours reflect your moods?
Draw or cut out faces with different expressions from a magazine so that you can peg, tie or put them on your tree.
Identify your range of emotions, how you feel when you experience it and actions that are good for during this mood. Suggestions for faces include: angry, happy, frustrated, kind, sad, loving, worried, sleepy.
What can you do to express or help your emotions? What do you like to do when you feel happy or sad?
What can you do when you feel angry? You could try immediate exercising (plan to do 10 star jumps), banging a drum, taking some space, breathing, doing a large scribble on wallpaper, squeezing a stress ball…
We love to hear how you are all doing: email in your pictures and news to movillepreschool@live.com – we would also like to see pictures of your healthy snacks.
Today we leave you with the classic ‘Going on a Bear Hunt,’ read by Maria.
