Let’s go for a ride on the bus!
Can you design and build your own transport – maybe a school bus? Or a train? Use chairs or cushions and/or recycled materials. Make tickets and use money to get on the bus or train. Who is on the bus or train? Where is it going? What can you see on the way? Is everybody wearing their seat belt? What do we need to check for all around getting on and off the bus? What about the train?
Some people get on the bus to go to school. If you are going to big school in September, how are you going to get there? Will you go on the bus? Will you walk?
You can make road signs for your journey: ‘Stop’ ‘Scoil’ ‘Slow’ or your own Zebra crossing using chalk or by laying down paper.
We would love to see your vehicles – maybe you can put some teddies on the seats to show us!
